Sometimes Christmas shopping can get a little…tedious. I’m here to give you a list of my favorite kitchen products, the ones I reach for over and over again, that make my life EASIER. Any cook would be thrilled to receive any of these!
KitchenAid Stand Mixer
The ultimate gift. I gave one to our nanny before we moved to Florida and I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone so excited. One of the best gifts I’ve ever given in my life.
The Learning Tower
This thing is just wonderful. I just wrote about it, but I’ll do it again! This is a fabulous gift for any parent or grandparent that loves to spend time in the kitchen. Jonathan LOVES to help me, and I spend so much time in the kitchen, whether its cooking or photographing, it’s nice to have him there with me helping. It’s sturdy, attractive, clean-looking and the platform is adjustable- meaning that it can be used by kids as they grow.
DeLonghi Nespresso Altissima Pro Espresso Machine
I put off buying this for forever. I had a traditional machine before (you know, with the wand), but after trying out the big mama-jama version of this machine at Disneyworld, I was blown away and knew I had to have one. It is SO great to have a morning or afternoon pick-me-up cappuccino or latte just a touch of a button away.
Acacia Cutting Board
Take care of this beauty, and it’ll be with you forever. You can frequently see mine in my photos!
AirFryer
I was the first one in my family to get one of these, and now they are popping up in the kitchen’s of different family members. This machine is just a phenomenon. Food taste like they’re fried, but NO OIL is involved, and it’s way better than the oven. It’s the best kind of magic. You can read my review of mine here.
Electric Knife Sharpener
I just can’t deal with dull knives. I used my mother in law’s for Thanksgiving one year, and she got an electric knife sharpener for Christmas that year. Contrary to what you might think, cutting with a dull knife is far more dangerous than cutting with a super-sharp one. You have to use more pressure and have far less control over what the knife does. This electric knife sharpener vanquishes dull edges, making it seem like you’re cutting softened butter.
KitchenAid Pasta Extruder Attachment
I used to make fresh pasta quite a lot BK (before kids), but I’ve started getting this bad boy back out recently, and rediscovering that the effort is totally worth it (and Jonathan thinks this is AMAZING. Just ball up your dough, stick it in, and turn your machine on. You’ll thank me once you taste the difference.
Cuisinart Food Processor
A food processor is my go-to for loads of chopping and cutting butter into flour for pastry. Ain’t nobody got time for that. It makes great purees and is all around a workhorse in my kitchen.
Multicooker
Think of this as a crockpot on steroids. It does have a slow cooker function, but it is so much more. Often, a slow cooker recipe (or even a roast recipe!) will say that you should brown the meat before cooking, in order to seal in juices and give it an extra punch of flavor. The annoying part about this is that it involves dirtying a pan for one step. Enter the multi cooker- you can brown your meat, sauté your onions, and then turn it on the “slow cooker” function. BAM.
